Union LA x Fragment
Air Jordan 1
Project Information
Doubleday & Cartwright partnered with Chris Gibbs and the Union team to treat collaboration as something engineered, not announced. The campaign took its cue from a single detail: the Urahara Stitch—and elevated it into a governing metaphor: a visible seam binding three distinct histories into one considered whole. Under the title Mastering the Urahara Stitch, the concept carried across film and graphic identity, arguing that the integrity of a collaboration is proven in how it is constructed. The stitch was not decoration; it was evidence. Union’s instinct to remix, Fragment’s disciplined restraint, and Jordan Brand’s legacy DNA remained intact, yet the final expression felt singular less a mash-up than a resolved composition: the strongest collaborations don’t stack logos, they join materials.
